Praying for our Sick Children

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to declare that You are a great and marvelous God. There is none like You on all the earth. You are majestic and full of wonder. We stand in awe of You. When we consider the work of Your Hands, it causes us to ponder, and if we thought about it for a million years, we still would not get it because You are a Mighty God, and we are privileged to be called your children. We Thank You, Lord, for saving our souls. We Thank You that You are mindful of us at all times. We are thankful that You know us by name and hear our voice when we cry. In our triumphs and tragedies, You are there for us, and we want to pause now to say Thank You!

Father, we ask that You would forgive us of the sins that we have committed in thought, word, and deed. Even when we don't realize we committed a sinful act, we ask that You would forgive still. Please give us the courage to make positive decisions in difficult situations. We need Your help to guide us as we treat others with love and kindness, not as they treat us.

Lord, we lift hospitals that service children throughout this world. We pray for doctors, medical teams, and administrators tasked with making daily challenging decisions. We ask that You enhance their innovativeness and ingenuity so that they will locate answers to life's most difficult challenges. We pray for their physical well-being that they will not come to work exhausted or impaired, but they will care for themselves to provide our children with the best possible care. We pray for the materials and equipment in each hospital to be maintained and serve their purpose for each child.

Father, we pray for every child, whether at a doctor's appointment, obtaining a test, having surgery, being admitted for care temporarily or long-term, or in the intensive care unit. We ask that You touch our sick children with Your tender Hand of mercy. Give them peace as they encounter challenging situations. Please give them a reason to smile and laugh out loud today. Be with their families. Please give them the strength to endure and the patience to walk this road with their loved ones.

Thank You for hearing our prayer. It is in the Name of Jesus that we pray, and for His Sake,

Amen.
