Let Us Pray - Psalm 103:1 - 5

Let Us Pray - Psalm 103:1 - 5

Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

4 Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I was completing an assignment for school on Friday (yes, I am back in school again) and I was struggling to come up with the final nine words before reaching my word count. Out of no where Ms. Monique blurts out, “In all things, God is still on the throne.” First we found a song by the Roberta Martin Singers and that was fun. I really wanted to locate a supportive Scripture for this declaration of security and we found it in Psalm 103:19, which reads “The LORD has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything.” Simply put, “In all things God is still on the throne.”

The TJac Group understands that there are times when life is just difficult but please know that even in that God is still on the throne. When your dreams are delayed, even if they are not denied, tell yourself that what it looks like does not take God off the throne. Having more month (even on the 7th) than you have money does not mean that God’s throne has been repossessed. In all things, God is still on the throne.

At the beginning of each prayer time on Monday, July 8th we will begin by reading about some of the benefits of serving God. Join us at any or all of the following times for prayer: 6:00 am (Praying over our Day), 9:00 am (Administrators), 12:00 pm (Classroom Educators), 3:00 pm (School and Program Safety), 6:00 pm (Children’s Prayer), and 9:00 pm (Praying for Parents and Caregivers). Each prayer lasts about 5 minutes. We look forward to praying with you tomorrow. If you cannot join us, please read our Scripture throughout the week and remember to Pray.
