Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for allowing us to come to the beginning of a new month and the end of another year. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, and kindness. Thank You for the peace You grant us, even during life's storms. Thank You for giving us the strength to remain focused and determined to do Your will here on Earth. Most of all, we Thank You for being our God.
Father, we ask that You forgive us of our sins in thought, word, and deed. Let us represent You well and not embarrass Your name with our actions. Empower us with the courage to do the right thing at all times.
Father, as we conclude this year, allow us to experience honest self-assessments of what we have accomplished this year. Where we have dropped the ball, give us the confidence to pick it back up and score for Your kingdom. Please give us our Vision Boards for 2023. Let us not be afraid when the goals seem more significant than us. Allow us to continuously remember that we can do all things through You because You give us the strength we need.
As we close, Father, we lift the 95+ people who have been injured and the 36+ families of people who have been killed in school shootings in 2022. As educators, we ask for ingenuity to end violence in our schools. We trust You, God, because You have the answer. Please trust us in return to do Your will here on Earth.
